When the flood came, Noah built his ark. Well, I was reminded of this when I saw Team Wi-GO from Portugal demonstrate their project at Microsoft Imagine Cup 2012- Sydney WW Finals. Wi-GO aims at making it easy for people on wheelchair to go shopping! By using a device that helps them stay away from physical and more importantly mental uneasiness by assisting them along, Wi-GO definitely looks like a big player here.
One of Wi-GO’s team members was physically disabled 12 years ago when doctors decided his movement will be assisted by a wheelchair. After struggling for many years, Wi-GO team comprised of computer science students decided to come up with a solution that makes it comfortable for them.
Check out this cool video that demos their product:
All the best to Wi-GO! May the force be with you.
All of these competitors have worked extremely hard to make it to this point; but these are only a handful of the many talented competitors duking it out here in Sydney.
